What is Junction House?
Junction House is a six-bedroom shared accommodation service designed to provide a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for individuals who are developing their independence and working towards achieving their personal goals. The service offers residents the opportunity to live within a community setting while receiving tailored support that promotes choice, control, and personal development.
Accommodation costs are funded through Housing Benefit, with support arrangements commissioned and funded by the relevant placing authority. As Junction House does not provide personal care, it is not regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). However, the service is committed to delivering support in line with best practice standards and works closely with placing authorities and other professionals to ensure that residents receive high-quality, person-centred support that meets their assessed needs.
Each resident has their own private bedroom and is provided with a key to both their room and the property's front door, promoting privacy, security, independence, and personal responsibility. Bedrooms are furnished with built-in wardrobes, a chest of drawers, and additional furniture where required, allowing residents to create a comfortable and personalised living space that feels like home.
Residents have access to a range of communal facilities, including a fully fitted kitchen, dining area, and shared lounge, encouraging social interaction, relationship building, and participation in everyday household activities. The property also benefits from a secure, private garden, providing a pleasant outdoor space where residents can relax, socialise, and enjoy recreational activities.
At Junction House, our focus is on supporting individuals to develop the confidence, life skills, and independence needed to live fulfilling lives within their communities. Through a person-centred approach, residents are encouraged to take an active role in their support, make informed choices, build positive relationships, and work towards achieving greater independence and long-term personal outcomes.
Recovery Workers are part of a dedicated team providing high-quality, person-centred support based on each tenant’s individual support and recovery plan. They receive recovery-focused training and bring extensive knowledge and experience in delivering effective support.
